Maté trial run and review (video)

A video of me trying maté for the first time.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been busy with classes and my internet has been pretty bad. I'll try to post something later this week!

  1. Bombillas!

Try a mix of hot and cold water like your host mum said so that the leaves don't scald - that's where the bitterness might be coming from? Green maté will look like little broken pieces of tea leaf, sort of, but it'll be a bright bright green with a bit of a sheen and very silky to the touch, and it should (at least what I've had) taste really really grassy. Roasted maté, on the other hand, will be brown and may be a bit more pellet-y and that'll have a more toasty taste.

    :)
